The most obvious would be Plum Creek but it couldn’t be that easy could it???

    Is it the Verdigris River?

Looks like Trout River in Malone, NY, where Almanzo went fishing on rainy days. Is that right?

Plum Creek would be obvious, wouldn’t it? And since I recently mentioned the Verdigris, I can see why that could easily be top of mind. But Carole’s got it — this lovely flowing water is courtesy of Trout River in one of the most beautiful Little House homesite of all – the Almanzo Wilder Farm near Malone, in upstate New York.
